Good morning citizens, first off I’d like to take a minute to bring awareness of the petition to stop the SOPA bill from being put into action. If you’re one of those Americans who think that this bill won’t affect you then you are sadly mistaken, the bill itself threatens to shut down not only our site and those of Metal Underground, Metal Injection, and Cvlt Nation but even further extending into YouTube and possibly all your favorite Social Networking sites as well. You have a right to freedom of content on the internet without censorship, it’s time to let congress know we will not be intimidated. So please take a minute and fill out the petition, share it amongst your friends, and do your part in saving the liberties of free internet.
And it’s not just metal/music sites that threaten to be taken down, video game afficianados, film buffs, culture freaks, etc. all have their favorite site being threatened with this act.
And IMO America is overstepping its boundaries. This act will allow them to effect website from other countries continuing their ‘world police’ status. I’m sure Americans and non-Americans don’t want to see that happen.
Exactly! Anyone on the net could be potentially targeted, and that’s why it’s so important for everyone to do their part and take 5 seconds out of their day to fill out that petition. If it does pass then I can almost guarantee that underground sites will begin to pop up and mass chaos, unlawful arrests, and possible rioting will become commonplace.
